Thanks to Brett Morgen’s upcoming documentary, Montage of Heck, fans of Kurt Cobain will be able to see a rare and intensely private side of the late singer’s life. But if that doesn’t satisfy, fans can now connect with Cobain on an even more personal level by renting his old L.A. apartment on Airbnb. No, really.
According to Vulture, the current tenant Brandon Kleinman has been listing the apartment on the hosting service for the past few years. The home is located in L.A.’s Fairfax district and is where Cobain and Courtney Love stayed while Love was pregnant with Frances Bean Cobain. While the apartment has, naturally, undergone many renovations after the couple moved out due to a leak, there is still a huge amount of history among it’s walls. “I’ve been told that he wrote ‘Heart-Shaped Box’ in that bathtub,” says Kleinman.
Right now he’s asking only $250 per night, which seems surprisingly reasonable all things considering. Interested? Check out his listing here.
