L.A. duo Made In Heights are back their first release of 2015, “Forgiveness.” Together, Kelsey Bulkin and DJ Sabzi (holler if you remember the Blue Scholars) have been out here for a few years now quietly making gorgeous, polished music. You won’t regret a deep dive into their SoundCloud, which is chock-full of the most understated pop confections you’ve ever heard.

“Forgiveness” falls in line with their other recent releases “Panther” and “Ghosts,” —yet another crystalline, fresh song with sparse 80’s synths and imminently danceable beats underneath Bulkin’s breezy voice. Seeing them live, it all makes sense—not only is the whole crowd moving, but the duo brings their a-game choreography-wise. The nonsense syllables on the track actually are a nod to the refrain on one of their earlier songs “Pop It In” (listen to it on Bandcamp).

Their as-yet-untitled sophomore full-length drops May 26—listen to “Forgiveness” below.
