It takes most young artists years to find their voice and understand what they’re all about, but Daye Jack is different. We first talked to him last year, and his understanding of music and himself was something you don’t often find in an 18-year-old. He always loved music, but he didn’t feel like he was being represented, so he started making the music he wanted to hear. His background (born in Nigeria, raised in suburbs of Atlanta, lived in New York and Los Angeles) shapes his perspective, and it all comes together for some of the most uniquely styled music we’ve heard in a long time.
