It’s not exactly a Beyoncé surprise album; Kendrick Lamar’s highly anticipated To Pimp a Butterfly has officially arrived—on iTunes, with no notice—a full week ahead.

Though it doesn’t look like this sudden release was necessarily intentional on TDE’s behalf. TDE CEO Anthony Tiffith tweeted his concerns with this unexpected news, suggesting that Interscope is responsible for it, whether “it” be dropping the clean version first, or straying from the drop date. Whatever may have happened behind the scenes, though, Kendrick has spoken:
