New Orleans rapper Pell has one of my favorite projects of 2014 in Floating While Dreaming, his slow-burning debut that takes listeners on an engaging, 12-track journey powered by heart and warm melodies in abundance.
Today, he delivers the latest visual off the album for the LV Baby-assisted “The Never.” Directed by The Greenhouse Collective, the video follows Pell and a female companion on a leisurely journey through the countryside, where they eventually meet up with LV and a handful of others to celebrate life under the stars with sparklers and fireworks. It’s a fittingly lighthearted visual accompaniment for the groovy record, and yet another sign that Pell is on track for a breakout 2015.
