Watch The Derevolutions' Trippy Video For "Now You Know My Name"

This music video starts off pretty simply with a familiar subject: dominoes. Watch the whole video, though, and you’ll see how the familiar quickly evolves into the next-level. Read an explanation of the clip from frontman Brett Boucher below, and read more on The Derevolutions here.

To support our debut album The Derevolutions (2014), we teamed up with Australian based animator/director Tristan Jalleh to create a music video for the song “Now You Know My Name.” Set in a virtual dreamscape based on Ana Karina’s tropical hometown of Rio De Janeiro, a simple domino maze descends into a psychedelic roller coaster that blurs the line between the internet and your mind. Sun-soaked pixels laced with tropicalia beg at the deeper commentaries of life in 2014, like bitcoins, boobs, free music, and science fiction.
