Today marks the release of alt-J’s sophomore album, This is All Yours, and in celebration of this, the band has released a remix of the soaring “Every Other Freckle” by an unlikely collaborator. Big K.R.I.T.’s flip on the single sees the originally gritty, reverb-heavy production refreshed with gently percolating percussion and, of course, a quick verse from the rapper. While K.R.I.T. may not be an intuitive collaborator, the end result is a terrific rework.
