Kanye West’s right to final cut has taken an infamous toll on some of his music videos—if they’re not up to snuff, they never see the light of day. The video for “Robocop” was not up to snuff.
But Shihan Barbee, an animator who worked on the video, couldn’t take it anymore. After holding on to the footage for five years, Barbee hit Instagram with a clip from the unreleased video. It’s a dance, of sorts. Kanye wears the shit out of his tuxedo/faux hawk combination, hands firmly tucked in pockets. His then-girlfriend Amber Rose rocks Barbie’s body and useless sunglasses.
