K. Rudd is a 23-year-old artist born and raised in Los Angeles. We first heard him on a collaboration with The Neighbourhood’s Jesse Rutherford. He’s been rapping since 2009 and is part of a group of musicians and visual artists called Innovator Collective. He’s got a project coming up called Enjoying Nature, and on it he’s got original production from Shlohmo, Ryan Hemsworth, Baauer, 4e, and more. Connecting with like-minded artists has worked out well for K. Rudd so far, and on “The Roots,” he links with producer Lonnie Ro for something soulful and laid back with a touch of urgency.
