When we premiered Atmosphere’s new single “Kanye West,” Slug explained that he “wanted to write a song about loving something so much that you submit to the moment.” This idea is brought to life in the video for the song, which features an oddly-paired couple (one part older, Asian man and one part young, African-American female) robbing a string of grocery and liquor stores. Reminiscent of a Bonnie and Clyde romance, the clip is another representation of how love can cloud any rational judgement, causing you to act now and think later, and—much like Slug says—submit to the moment. Atmosphere’s new album Southsiders is out May 6. Watch the video above.
