Sydney trio Movement’s second song “Like Lust” was good, but it featured recycled pieces of their first song “Us,” which was kind of weird for a band’s second song. Did they not have any other ideas? Today, we learn that Movement does, in fact, have other ideas. “Ivory” is a smooth, pulsating song driven by bass, keys, and handclaps—standard procedure for Movement—but the vocals break free from that familiar hushed falsetto quickly, and at the end we get a much appreciated guitar solo. Fuck yeah.
Movement’s EP is due May 6.
