In the time since his last solo album Phrazes for the Young, The Strokes frontman Julian Casablancas has been all over the place: collaborating with Daft Punk, commemorating Sparklehorse, and even starring in a couple French perfume commercials for good measure.
With all that out of his system, Casablancas is returning with new music. For those turned off by the electronic bent of Phrazes, this album teaser will come as a welcome surprise. Offering snippets of songs over a distorted hodge-podge of broadcast TV and home video, the preview for what we know only as The Voidz returns to a decidedly more Strokes-ian sound.
