Looks like Keith Richards has a new hobby. Following The Rolling Stones legend’s 2010 autobiography, Life, Richards will be releasing another book this year. This time, though, he won’t be divulging his shocking exploits, as, well… this book will be written for children.
What qualifies him, you ask? “I have just become a grandfather for the fifth time, so I know what I’m talking about,” he said in a statement. Gus & Me: The Story of My Granddad and My First Guitar will detail “one of those magical moments” between Richards and his maternal grandfather, Theodore Augustus Dupree, who used to play in a jazz band. The book will be illustrated by Keith Richards’ daughter, Theodora Dupree Richards.
Gus & Me: The Story of My Granddad and My First Guitar will be available as a hardcover book with a CD and an ebook on September 9 via Little, Brown Books for Young Readers.
