To celebrate the release of his excellent debut album Oxymoron, ScHoolboy Q has been all over the place this week going hard on promotion, and rightfully so. The album’s projected to come in at No. 1 on the Billboard charts next week with 150-160k copies sold, despite having no radio hits as he recently joked about to the Breakfast Club. We saw him perform a deeper album cut titled “Studio” on Conan two nights ago. But last night he returned to a more well-known song from the album with an energetic performance of “Man of the Year” on The Arsenio Hall Show. Once again backed by a live band (with a killer guitar solo toward the end), ScHoolboy Q looks to be completely in his element, reveling in the expected success of his first album.
