London Grammar’s Hannah Reid has quite the voice. It plays mostly in that deep, baritone range and adds a beautifully haunting element to the group’s music. Last year Disclosure recruited their services for the song “Help Me Lose My Mind.” It was a perfect example of how their sound could coexist successfully on both electronically-driven records, as well as those a bit more slow-buring and restrained.
Tensnake further supports that notion with this remix of “Hey Now,” the group’s lead song from their debut album, If You Wait. Things get particularly interesting around the 2:55 mark, but no need to jump ahead. This is a clean and enjoyable ride from start to finish.
