Watch Angel Haze Perform Gorgeous Acoustic Versions of Three "Dirty Gold" Songs

Watch Angel Haze perform gorgeous acoustic versions of three "Dirty Gold" songs for the Rinse Sessions and a "Drunk In Love" cover for BBC Radio 1.

Despite label frustrations and poor album sales thus far, Angel Haze is determined to keep her head up and let the music speak for itself. She recently stopped by London radio station Rinse FM for a three-song set during the show’s Rinse Sessions, performing new material off her debut album Dirty Gold as well as “New York.” She begins with “A Tribe Called Red,” stripping it back tremendously and delivering a soul-baring magnetic performance that breathes new life into the song’s lyrics. This is just yet another reminder of instances when acoustic versions of songs can be better than their original. She slides into the pistol-whipping “New York,” showing exactly why her flow’s one of the best in the game. And she ends the session on a triumphant note with “Battle Cry,” allowing her backup singer to show off her beautiful vocals.

Angel Haze also recently covered Beyoncè’s “Drunk In Love” for BBC Radio 1, fusing it together with Jay Z’s “Tom Ford.” Watch her perform “A Tribe Called Red” above and “New York,” “Battle Cry,” and “Drunk In Love” below.
