We were first introduced to Sylvan Esso last fall with their unique synth-pop productions “Hey Mami” and “Play It Right” and now the duo is back with another equally impressive offering. “Coffee” finds the group more confident than their last two releases, clearly hard at work fine-tuning the relationship between Amelia Meath’s folky vocal and Nick Sanborn’s twinkling electronic instrumentation. It’s a fantastic display of using two contrasting elements to create something surprisingly organic. The track will be included on Sylvan Esso’s upcoming LP, due out in May.
