You know “Stay” because Rihanna adopted it. It appeared on her 2012 album Unapologetic with guest vocals from Mikky Ekko. It ended up topping charts in multiple countries and becoming an omnipresent hit, but before all that, it was just a demo of songwriter/singer Mikky Ekko’s.
Today, Mikky has liberated that demo version. Without Rihanna and the extra studio polish, it’s a raw, just-as-beautiful ballad. Listen below, and look out for a video soon.
