Because when the rap game’s biggest glass ceiling crusher of the last five years goes missing from the mic, it causes a ripple effect for her peers. Then, when she drops an unannounced freestyle over P.T.A.F.’s (Pretty Taking All Fades) “Boss Ass Bitch” in which she spits lines like “I came back bitches flows still boring / I said damn man, go back to whoring,” we’re quickly reminded why Nicki Minaj’s presence is so essential to hip-hop.
And in between instant quotables about being the best in the game and a “pussy standing ovation,” she also hints at her album slated for 2014 saying, “But on the real, I’m in album mode.” Get ready, Barbz.
