Macaulay Culkin Plays Kazoo in a Velvet Underground Cover Band That Sings Only About Pizza

Around the holidays, it’s always interesting to find out what little Macaulay Culkin is up to. He’s had an interesting post-Home Alone life, and to read that he’s involved in a foreign art film or in a relationship with an actress is no longer surprising. But this year, the Macaulay Culkin update is something special.

Macalay Culkin is in a band. They are called The Pizza Underground. They cover Velvet Underground songs, but they make all the songs about pizza. They’ve recorded one demo and released it on Bandcamp. The demo was “recorded live at Macaulay Culkin’s house on November 11, 2013.” The songs include:

“Papa John Says”

“I’m Beginning to Eat the Slice”

“Pizza”

“I’m Waiting for Delivery Man”

“Cheese Days”

“Pizza Day”

“All the Pizza Parties”

“Pizza Gal”

“Take a Bite of the Wild Slice”

The band has played at least one live show, at New York’s Side Walk bar, and during the show Pizza Underground member Deenah Vollmer played percussion on a pizza box. Macaulay Culkin does vocals, percussion, and kazoo. So that’s what Macaulay Culkin has been up to.
