There are plenty of reasons not to like Tyler, The Creator, but you can’t ever criticize him for not speaking his mind. In October, Tyler made his opinion about the YouTube Music Awards clear—he’s not a fan, and he believes YouTube should have used their platform to celebrate creativity and art instead of awarding the same big-name artists that other awards shows highlight. The funniest part about it was that Tyler was scheduled to perform at the show. He did, and even on the show’s red carpet he took the opportunity to tell YouTube how he feels.
