It’s always interesting to hear different takes on a track as infectious as Alex Winston’s “101 Vultures” but it becomes that much more enticing when the remake is at the hands of an equally talented artist. Rhode Island-based Magic Man have reworked the song, turning Winston’s once lush, electro-ballad into an upbeat production that more closely mirrors the indie-pop styling the band has so nicely honed on their recent EP. What’s most impressive though, is that they’ve managed to do this without losing the emotional rawness that so fiercely defines Winston’s original. Take a listen to their fantastic rework below, and if you’re in the NYC area in February, Alex will be playing Le Poisson Rouge on the 28th:
