If you like horns like we like horns, this Bara Blaque song might be your new jam. Born in London and raised in Nigeria, Bara is one third of the trio The Koup and looks to bring some organic, old school elements to hip-hop. He may be influenced by the old school, but “3rd World Hippy” doesn’t feel stale. With a screwed chorus that would fit nicely in an A$AP Rocky song and a steady delivery that fills every gap of the swaying beat, Bara has succeeded in making music that feels thematically drab and sonically fresh.
