Brooklyn’s latest electronic indie duo Bird Call are quickly soaring above their counterparts. The project was initiated by 28 year-old singer and musician Chiara Angelicola, who brought her songs to producer Bryan Senti to flesh out. Together, the two created a series of tracks that feel like old world jazz infused with the beats and sonic textures of now—Angelicola’s compelling, rich vocals have a classic tone that’s endlessly enhanced by Senti’s orchestral production and attention to detail.

Wafting in and out of ’80s synths, skittering beats and tightly composed string parts, the debut release from the two Will We Get to Mars? is immediately accessible without losing a majestic air. Stream the entire album below, it’s out today via Found Objects.
