Audio Push isn’t easy to neatly classify. The California duo is signed to Hit Boy’s label and with Come As You Are, they offer up an eclectic mix of OutKast’s cool with a West Coast bounce. It nods to past decades, modern style, and everything in between. They do it all competently for a tape that you can play from front to back without getting bored. Having a producer like Hit Boy helps in a couple ways—not only does this one draw in some big name features, but it sounds a lot more professional and polished than 95% of the other mixtapes you’ll download for free this year.
