Willis Earl Beal is releasing his second studio album Nobody knows. on September 10 through XL/Hot Charity and in anticipation of that he’s released Cat Power-featuring track “Coming Through.” It’s a jaunting, upbeat take on how the lives we lead are unknowable to others and the unattainable nature of truth. Only Willis and Chan Marshall could make those topics sound even close to light-hearted, but somehow they pull it off. “The truth will soon be coming through” they sing in duet. Pitchfork also reports that Beal will be opening an art exhibit this fall entitled “Somebodies by Nobody” at Other Music in New York City. It’ll be on exhibit from the album release date, September 10 through September 24, and will feature his drawings of NBA players.
