Bird Call - "Will We Get To Mars?"

None

Off the strength of their debut track “Tao of Love” the New York duo Bird Call created a buzz around the release of their debut album Will We Get to Mars out via Found Objects on September 3. In anticipation of the record they’ve now dropped the self-titled track from the record by premiering it on The Line of Best Fit today, and it’s a swooning, ethereal three minutes of existential questioning.

Bryan Senti’s minimalist production and Chiara Angelicola’s raspy yet breathy vocals place this track firmly in the sounds of today without leaning too heavily on predictable sonic tropes. The feeling that they’re holding back builds a backbone of tension in the song that leaves the listener on the edge of their seat throughout, mimicking the line of questioning that runs through the lyrics. There’s a bit of the astronomical in here too, as though something larger is looming. Stream the track below and pre-order their debut album here.
