Snoop Lion Teaches Larry King to Rap, Beyonce Calls Out a Fan During Her Concert

We see a lot of really random shit every week. Deciding what to post and what to ignore is a constant balancing act that requires much skill, judgment, and discretion. Sometimes it depends on how drunk we are or how trollish we're feeling. Instead of simply letting these things pass us by, we decided to keep track of them and gather them all together for this post, which we'll do weekly. These are the kinds of things P&P writers email each other like, "ROFL omg WOW." Welcome to the party.

3. Black metal star arrested on alleged massacre plot

If you're a fan of black metal, you've probably heard of Burzum's Varg Vikernes. However, it may not be entirely because of his music. Vikernes has quite the rap sheet: he burnt down churches (!) during the 1990s, landed in jail in 1994 for the murder of Mayhem’s Øystein Aarseth (!!), went on the run from the law in 2003 (!!!) and then was caught and released again in 2009. Now Vikernes may find himself back in jail again, as he's been arrested on suspicion of plotting a massacre. A MASSACRE. I don't want to point fingers here, but maybe, just maybe, it wasn't the smartest thing to let him free in 2009, you know considering his whole church burning, murdering history?

5. A verse from 2 Chainz costs $100,000

Things I could buy for $100,000 instead of a verse from 2 Chainz:

- A customized Range Rover

- A lifetime supply of Hot Pockets

- At least 2 gold chainz

- A verse from Drake

- A day with Soulja Boy (I can only imagine that's worth at least $100,000)

Actually, I take that back. I would pay $100,000 for a verse from 2 Chainz, just so I could see him dance like this while he performed it:

7. Elite Gymnastics attacks the "fucked up" music industry

Elite Gymnastics took to his Tumblr recently to write a long rant about the music industry. The post is a lengthy read but his point is well said and thoughtful. One of the more interesting points is based off an experience his close friend Grimes (Claire Boucher) had:

a couple weeks ago claire did a show in seattle - she uses wireless, in-ear monitors that require her to clip a heavy transmitter to her clothing. after playing "oblivion", she noticed it was weighing her pants down and stopped to pull them up and tighten the waistband. the crowd started chanting “take it off". can you imagine what it’s like to be a woman in this industry? feel free to dismiss cole’s complaints about his managers and agents if you want, but are you really prepared to condone the reality that women face when they’re entering this industry? when on top of everyone trying to take your money and coerce you into bad deals by telling you “it’s just how things are done", you also have to deal with almost every single one of those people simultaneously trying to pressure you into sleeping with them? if men are consistently afraid of asking the wrong question or upsetting the wrong person and wrecking their career, what do you think it’s like when you have to be afraid that rejecting someone’s advances or speaking out about sexism will destroy your livelihood? does it bother you that like 5% of the acts playing coachella are female? do you think it maybe has anything to do with the fact that the people running the labels and agencies and management companies that regulate those platforms are controlled almost exclusively by coked out white guys who hover around young female musicians offering to “help" them and asking them to come back to their room in the same breath? people have done this to claire right in front of me.

8. Justin Bieber has only one facial expression

Justin Bieber's Instagram is a mess these days. One minute he's posting about Disney princesses and the next, he's with a damn snow leopard. The one thing though that is consistent, is his love for selfies. Say what you will about Bieber, but that kid knows how to take an effective selfie. His pout is so perfected that it seems Bieber has a tough time switching it up to any other different facial expression. Someone noticed this and decided to make this (creepy) GIF of Bieber posing with fans with his same "blue-steel" pose.

14. Snoop Lion teaches Larry King to rap

This is the episode of Snoop Lion's GGN YouTube show we've all been waiting for. Oh Mac Miller's on? Oh Big Sean is this week's guest? Oh Snoop got Talib Kweli? NOT IMPRESSED. But Larry King writing a rap song about how much he loves peanut butter and the Dodgers? That's what dreams are made of.

16. Read a letter from a 17-year-old Morrissey to NME about the Sex Pistols

Way before Morrissey wrote letters to Jimmy Kimmel Live and the Staples Center, Morrissey wrote a letter to NME. In 1976, the then 17-year-old penned a rather bold review of a Sex Pistols show. What's really fascinating about this is his last line:

“I’d love to see the Pistols make it. Maybe then they will be able to afford some clothes which don’t look as though they’ve been slept in."

18. David Lynch hates Disney's "It’s A Small World" song

As an adult, there's a lot to hate about Disney World. It's expensive, it's too crowded, the lines are too long, you'll probably lose your kid at some point- it's just a lot to handle. But one of the things that may not be high up on your list of grievances is it's theme song. That is, unless your David Lynch. Speaking to the A.V. Club for their HateSong feature, the musician picked "It's A Small World" as his most hated song out of all the songs in the entire world:

"I went to Disneyland. I think I took my daughter there. This was a long time ago, and when I heard it, it was a very traumatic experience."

And while you may be thinking, "What! How could he hate something so closely associated with childhood fun and lifelong memories?" But while writing this I listened to the track at least 4 times in a row and honestly, I get it David. It can drive you crazy. Maybe even crazy enough to write a TV series about an eccentric FBI agent investigating the death of a homecoming queen in a small, rural town in Washington.

20. Gucci Mane plans to release three mixtapes in one day

With the Oscar-worthy performance Gucci Mane gave in Spring Breakers, it's easy to forget that before he was a film phenomena, he was a rapper. But thankfully Gucci is stirring up something to remind us, as he's announced that he'll release three mixtapes this August... all on the same day.

Entitled, Gas, Lean and Molly, the tapes will be part of Gucci's World War 3 series. Which I can only assume Gucci came up with one day in the studio like, "Man, I love gas, I love lean, and I love molly. Well damn! You think those could be the names for my upcoming mixtapes? Ah fuck it, I once tattooed an ice cream cone on my face! Bricksquad!"
