Los Angeles locals PAPA have been pretty consistent with releasing great music. The band, made up of lead singer/drummer Darren Weiss and bassist Danny Presant, have garnered a ton of attention as of late. Recently signed with Loma Vista Recordings, they have released a limited edition “Put Me To Work”/”If You’re My Girl, Then I’m Your Man” 7″ today.
Their music, dreamy with a hint of bite, never seems to take itself too seriously. On their newest record, “If You’re My Girl, Then I’m Your Man,” they prove they deserve all the praise they’ve been receiving. The perfect song for a hot summer night, the stand-out track sounds as if it’s of another time but also completely current.
