Mayer Hawthorne ft. Kendrick Lamar - "Crime"

None

Mayer Hawthorne debuted a new track today that features a verse from none other than Kendrick Lamar. “Crime” is a cut off Hawthorne’s July 16 release Where Does This Door Go?, his fourth studio album and second with Universal.

It’s an interesting step away from Hawthorne’s roots in soul and funk—and it’s a similarly outside-the-box collab for Kendrick. But the two met in the middle, and the result is a smooth sitar-sampling track that sounds equal parts Timberlake and Timbaland. Have a listen here.
