London singer Abigail Wyles took our breath away with her initial single “Mantra“—earning comparisons to Jessie Ware almost instantly. Now, she’s back with the video for the track, a trip through double nature and dueling personas. This first offering is remarkable in its jazzy, muted tones paired with stuttering modern twists and big beats and bass. The video reflects these contrasts by using vintage looking filters meshed with falling sparkles and wisps of smoke.

Mirroring herself throughout the visuals, Wyles’ voice is similarly bounded and freed by her production partner Holly Simpson who provides a sparse, electronic backbone for her soulful pipes. Watch the dark, shimmering video above and look for the release of the single via MTA on August 8.
