Icona Pop is known for their party-ready songs, so it’s kind of hard to imagine a piano cover of the ubiquitous “I Love It.” It sort of makes sense, though, when the people covering the track are Florence Welch and Dev Hynes. The two recently teamed up and took on the summer anthem of 2013 at the Equality Rocks benefit gig, held by Human Rights Campaign. Somehow, the lyrics “I crashed my car into the bridge/I watched/I let it burn” sound a lot more rational when they’re sung by Flo, but maybe that’s just me. Watch the piano rendition of “I Love It” above.
