Video: San Fermin - "Sonsick"

New visuals today for Brooklyn-based San Fermin’s brassy anthem “Sonsick.” The video takes us inside the marital disputes of the deep jungle, as a couple and their young daughter (all three of whom could, conceivably, have migrated from Prospect Heights) explore the gorgeous woods that serve as a backyard.

Despite the fact that this video probably cost next to nothing to make—except for the bull, bulls are expensive—the forest’s overwhelming lushness make it impossible to look away. It’s a testament to the power and precision of consumer-level DSLR cameras and their ability to retain the heavy lifting that natural light provides. The band’s been touring the East Coast for the last few months—here’s hoping this video is an indication that more of Ellis Ludwig-Leone’s fervent songwriting is close behind.

Here’s their remaining summer schedule:

7/16: Philadelphia, PA – World Cafe

7/17: Brooklyn, NY – Glasslands

9/7: Raleigh, NC – Hopscotch Music Festival @ Fletcher Opera House

9/25: Montreal, QC Canada – Pop Montreal @ The Church of St. John the Evangelist

9/27: Cincinnati, OH – Midpoint Music Festival
