Fyfe is one of those artists that exploded onto the scene in 2013, even if his music is more stately and slower-paced, it feels fresh even in its understatement. In a sonic landscape that focuses on “the drop” and the glitter and glitz of EDM scenes and electro-pop, the music that Paul Dixon makes is a welcome respite. He’s still dabbling in the electronic elements, but he uses the same sounds with innovation—especially considering he’s only 23.
The London singer released “Conversations” a few weeks ago and has returned with a video that premiered on Spin to accompany the track. Dark, cobblestone streets and smoky, rainbow-lit backdrops alternate as the visuals behind his soaring falsetto and haunting lyrics.
