We see a lot of really random shit every week. Deciding what to post and what to ignore is a constant balancing act that requires much skill, judgment, and discretion. Oh, you got crazy the last time you went to Vegas? Did you maybe gamble a little and drink too many shots? Yea, well the guys in Wavves stole coke from a dealer and then a cop drove frontman Nathan Williams back to his hotel after he passed out in a bush. And this was all just hours before they went on stage and performed in front of hundreds of fans. Damn, Wavves know how to do Vegas right.

If you've ever listened to Jay-Z's "Big Pimpin'" and thought to yourself "yea this is good and all, but I'd really appreciate a nice, quiet version of this- a lullaby even- for those nights when my kids can't sleep" you're (very oddly) in luck. In discussing his passion for music as a cost of "emotional development with real-life humans":

Last week, Kanye shared a preview of a new track on his website, which you could hear when you scrolled over the cover art for his upcoming album, Yeezus. In typical Yeezy fashion, the preview featured a unique blend of obscure retro tracks, which left many wondering: What were these songs he sampled?

MTV did some research and discovered that the snippet samples two songs- the first being "Bound," by the Ponderosa Twins Plus One off their 1971 2+2 = 1 album. The other, which is the line "Uh huh, honey," is from Brenda Lee's 1959 hit "Sweet Nothin's."
