Random News of the Week Featuring Miley Cyrus Twerking and ScHoolBoy Q Backstage at a Kendrick Lamar Show

We see a lot of really random shit every week. Deciding what to post and what to ignore is a constant balancing act that requires much skill, judgment, and discretion. Sometimes it depends on how drunk we are or how trollish we're feeling. Instead of simply letting these things pass us by, we decided to keep track of them and gather them all together for this post, which we'll do weekly, maybe. These are the kinds of things P&P writers email each other like, "ROFL omg WOW." Welcome to the party.

2. Cam'ron is on Vine and he's killing it

Step aside Action Bronson and Riff Raff—Cam'ron and his fiance Juju may have just won the title of "Best Viners" with their latest series of videos. The couple presented the entertaining "A Love Story," which featured all the aspects of a cinematic classic. There's drama, romance, guns and dancing under a strobe light. Oscar material. Check out the first clip above, and the final one below. For all those in between, check out XXL's recap of the story.

4. Miley shows us she can twerk

If you've seen or read about Miley Cyrus lately, you've probably noticed something is different about the former Disney star. Her image seemingly matured over night, with short bleached-blonde hair, skimpy clothes and a new crew that definitely doesn't include any sign of Mickey Mouse. That's because the 20-year-old has been spending a lot of time with rappers- namely artists like Juicy J, Pharrell and Gucci Mane.

Recently Miley joined Juicy on stage at one of his concerts, where she showed off a new, um, skill and from the above and below videos, it seems Juicy is pretty impressed by this. After all, you may say no to Miley twerkin, Juicy J can't.

8. Watch Kanye recite poetry in 2004

"From Chicago, Illinois, please give it up for the future of hip hop, Kanye West!"

That's the line Mos Def used to introduce a relatively unknown Kanye West at a Def Poetry Jam back in 2004. It's an introduction that, 10 years later, brings about a certain eeriness considering the all out phenomenon West's latest album Yeezus is becoming.

But back then he was a newcomer from Chicago, wearing Adidas superstars with tags on them. West took the stage to perform a spoken word piece entitled "Self Conscious" which is adapted from his hit "All Falls Down." You can watch that above. The video below is from a year later, in 2005, and features a slightly better dressed and more self-assured Yeezy delivering "Bitter Sweet." And if you have doubts about the self-assured part, just wait for him to drop the "Ralph Lauren was borin' before I wore him," line.

11. Lil Wayne's daughter releases a song

Most kids who just graduate middle school celebrate by a party or maybe a nice gift from their parents. But Lil Wayne's daughter? No no, she celebrated by releasing a novel AND a new song. The latter she shared this week and is (obviously) entitled "Daddy's Little Girl." It's a cute track that touches on a lot of father/daughter subjects, like how he's taught her some valuable life lessons. No word though on when her collab with Drake, "Strangers Are Just Friends You Haven't Met Yet," will drop.
