Bernie Madoff's Nephew is an Aspiring Rapper

In today’s WTF file is the news that Bernie Maddoff—Wall Street’s premiere financial swindler—has a nephew that is an aspiring rapper. He goes by the name Triple, a.k.a. Stu Madoff and from the looks of this Instagram photo he posted and the lyrics to his first song “Hasaybah” he has an affinity for DJ Screw and dirty Sprite.

In 2009, Bernie Maddoff was sentenced to 150 years in prison, the maximum number of years allowed by law, after his investment firm was revealed to be a massive Ponzi scheme that defrauded investors of billions of dollars, starting possibly as early as the 1970s. Sadly, one of his sons, Mark has since committed suicide.

Triple, or rather Stu, is using the exposure in a positive way to launch a rap career, banking off the staying power of his name and a tribute to Houston’s DJ Screw. Screw’s infamous 38 minute freestyle “June 27” dropped on that date years ago, and Triple has coincided the release of his first track with that by releasing it yesterday in honor of Screw. His forthcoming mixtape will be entitled Rich Off My Yichus, which is a Jewish word for “lineage, distinguished birth, pedigree.” An initial mixtape that dropped in March called Madoff Monopoly is also available for download via Datpiff.
