A few weeks ago, BeazyTymes shared a remix of The xx‘s cover of Aaliyah‘s “Hot Like Fire,” and it was obvious that the young producer was on to something. Earlier today, he uploaded yet another xx remix to his Soundcloud, this time, looking back at material from the UK band’s debut album. BeazyTymes once again experiments with trap elements for “Shelter,” careful to not remove the sense of melancholy and longing channeled in the original, yielding a subdued, skittering result.
