Listen to the Hungarian Band that Kanye West Sampled for "New Slaves"

Some interesting news out of Hungary today. A listener there enjoys Kanye West‘s “New Slaves,” but he recognized the music that comes in toward the end of the intense new track that ‘Ye just brought to Saturday Night Live.

The music is from Omega, a Hungarian band who the emailer describes as “like my father’s and grandparents’ Beatles.” The band—one of Hungary’s most successful rock bands of all time—formed in 1962, broke up in 1987, and reunited in ’94. Listen to Omega’s “Gyöngyhajú Lány” below.
