PayJay Productions released a 12″ vinyl earlier this week featuring J Dilla‘s long-lost “Anthem,” and today, we get to hear the single’s B-side. “Trucks” is, as Spin so eloquently put it, a “gangstafied Gary Numan tribute” that has been around for a while but only seeing an official release now.
The Diary, a posthumous album that showcases Dilla rapping as opposed to producing, will feature him rhyming over beats from Pete Rock, Nottz, Madlib, and others. The two tracks on the 12″, however, were both produced by J Dilla. Listen to “Trucks” below, and check out “Anthem” if you haven’t yet.
