We knew this was coming. As reported back in March Australian electronic duo Empire of the Sun have been working on material for their long awaited sophomore release, Ice on the Dune. While their return might not be on par with that of Daft Punk’s in terms of general hugeness and fan excitement, it’s still pretty damn excellent that they’re preparing a follow up release to their acclaimed 2008 debut, Walking on a Dream.
The first single off their forthcoming LP hit the web today. Entitled “Alive,” the track is upbeat and anthemic. Luke Steele rarely fails to pen optimistic, grandiose lyrical content and he certainly doesn’t miss with this one.
