The concept of “blind pilots” may sound like a new drama-filled reality show, but it’s actually the creative story-line behind Local Natives‘ latest visuals for “Heavy Feet.” The thoughtful track is paired with a video that follows three aging blind men who build model airplanes, while sandwiches sing the words to the song. It sounds a little wacky, but the result is a genuinely funny and charming clip. And the heavy focus on flying doesn’t seem so far-fetched when you think about the album artwork, which features the band hanging onto the wing of a plane and the album title, Hummingbird.
