Right after appearing on our list of the 15 Best Songs About Serial Killers, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds have let loose a new track from their upcoming album, Push The Sky Away. In stark contrast with “Jack The Ripper,” the song that placed them in the aforementioned list, “Jubilee Street” is a textured, wearily beautiful song with a different kind of catharsis than Nick Cave was conjuring up two decades ago. This song seems to sigh at its every elevation; slowly introducing more lightly splashing guitars, then strings, then a choir, with Cave anchoring the track as always, telling a story of regret in his immediately recognizable rough baritone.
