FIDLAR has no problem getting a mosh pit started, but with tracks like “Awkward” and “I Just Wanna Die” they’ve shown some complexity beyond the noisy, distorted, punk-spirited rock. Maybe “complexity” is the wrong word—part of what makes this emerging L.A. group so entertaining is the simplicity of their songwriting. “Gimme Something” is their latest, and it’s another no-bullshit melody that showcases their slightly more restrained side.
