Aside from rare cases like Garden State and Bruce Springsteen, New Jersey has always been presented to those outside it with a certain connotation (Snooki, we’re looking at you). So it makes sense for a band as passionate and rebellious as Titus Andronicus to write an anthem that screams, “F yea I’m from Jersey and I’m proud!” Which is exactly what they did with “In A Big City,” a song that’s steady percussion and strained vocals mimic the pent up frustration depicted in the lyrics. Today, the band released the video for the song, which features front man Patrick Stickles trying to make his way from Jersey to Manhattan. Check it out below.
