With the news that St. Vincent & David Byrne were collaborating came a lot of question marks. Byrne has been all over the place since his days with Talking Heads, dipping his fingers into different projects ranging from the straightforward to the wildly experimental. With “Weeked In The Dust,” we get an idea of where Byrne and Annie are going. It’s bouncy, funky, a little retro, and pretty uncompelling, unfortunately. Byrne and St. Vincent’s album, Love This Giant, comes out September 11th.
