Boiler Room is an institution. That’s the best way to put it for anyone who’s into bass music, or dance music in general. It’s a live performance/radio hybrid that brings the best of the best DJs and producers to everyone on the web via a live stream and podcasts. The names BR has strung together to perform are massive, albeit more often than not they’re only massive to a select group of people who listen to the kind of music they cater to. The lineup is just as impressive tonight as it usually is, but the addition of Grimes lends it a more indie-mainstream air of excitement.
Grimes will be performing alongside Lone and Blawan, the latter of the two she pinpointed as a favorite producer in the UK Bass scene when I talked to her a few months ago. It’s a great lineup and all absolutely worth checking out. Although Boiler Room is normally a DJ-heavy affair, it sounds like Grimes will be performing a full live set.
