Video: The Plastics - "Stereo Kids"

1.

South African indie band The Plastics are working on their second album, set to drop later this year, but before that comes together, they made this video for “Stereo Kids.” The track is currently playing on most South African radio stations and has been in the Top 40 Charts for 5FM. After giving it a listen, it’s easy to see why the band’s sound is catching on in such a big way.

The concept follows a kid at an 80‘s-style prom trying to woo a girl through the song. It envokes the familiar feeling of teenager boys’ awkwardness around girls at a party with the guys and girls all hanging out in their own groups. The video was shot in one day at Camps Bay Primary School in Cape Town.
