Ooooh, Los Campesinos! You teases! All day long they have been hinting through a certain social medium that a new track is soon-to-be-dropped. However, it is above medium standard. It’s quite good actually. Typically teenage vocals tiptoe carefully alongside a parallel, lulling guitar track until it warbles precariously on a callow chorus. Welcome trumpets make a few casual appearances upon the track, creating a song which is somehow simultaneously downbeat and lively. A crashing, triumphant finale acts as a perfect counterpoint to the quieter start.

Gareth Campesinos! himself said that this song was “probably one of his favourite songs”. Whilst the inclusion of the qualifier “probably” somewhat diminishes the intended impact of this quote, it’s true that an atypical slowness adds something special.
