Take some layered dueling guitars, a kick-you-in-the-ears drummer, harmonious vocals and chants that collude together seamlessly. Then throw in a few jingling synths, shameless solos and cool crashing crescendos. What you get is loud and life-affirming, and it sounds like Fang Island.
The post-rock crew from Brooklyn (via Rhode Island) are must-see live band, and their 2010 self-titled debut was a euphoric summer soundtrack that still gets played whenever the sun’s out.
